Sales and hire while a Maryborough house is opened up
Timber houses in Maryborough get lifted, restumped and relined, and the furniture has to stay on the block while the rooms are open. Tinana and Granville add the river crossing: which bridge the truck uses, and whether it will still be open when the container is collected.
Storage while an older Maryborough house is open
Restumping, relining and repainting push lounge suites, cartons and whitegoods into the yard for months. Hire suits a finish month you already know. Buying suits a lock-up you still want after the trades leave. Stand the container clear of stump holes and the builders' path. Ask for a sale or a hire; the quote covers the container and the cartage to the address.
Timber meant to go back into the house — VJ boards, fretwork, doors and sash windows — has to stay dry and flat. Bring it in dry, stack it on pallets, and ask about vents if the doors stay shut for weeks. For that load, a cargo-worthy container or a new container is wind and watertight. An as-is container is not.
Tinana, Granville, and the bridge the truck needs
Tinana sits on the south-western bank of the Mary, and Lamington Bridge is the ordinary link into town. Fraser Coast Regional Council's Greater Maryborough page says Lamington Bridge closes from about 4.5 metres on the Mary River at the Portside gauge, and the deck is inundated from about 5.5 metres. Granville is on the eastern side. Access toward Granville Bridge closes from about 5.7 metres, once Tiger, Kent and Guava Streets flood, and heavy rain in the Tinana Creek catchment can add to that rise. The bridge itself is inundated around 8.1 metres. Those figures describe the crossing. They do not describe the floor of a particular house.
Put the bank, and the bridge the truck would use, in the enquiry. A collection only works while that crossing is open, so arrange it before a rise. Council's flood-prediction maps for Maryborough are for disaster management, and Council states they are not a property risk assessment. If the container will stay put, ask Council which flood information applies to the address.
Council's mapping site shows property and land information, planning zones and disaster layers for the lot you look up. Houses on one Tinana or Granville road can sit at different heights, so the suburb name is not a flood reading for the house. A cargo-worthy or new container sheds rain. Water rising against the doors is a separate problem, and a lightly loaded container can move in deep water. Bearers raise the floor off wet ground. They do not move the container onto higher ground.

The entrance on this block, and getting it out again
Some streets in central Maryborough give a truck an easy run. The allotment behind the house is a separate question. Verandah posts, a tight side passage, a mango or a jacaranda, or a low shed between the footpath and the pad can stop a tilt-tray. Send three pictures: the frontage, the side passage, and the ground where it would stand.
On larger blocks toward Tinana South, Oakhurst and Aldershot, describe the surface after rain and where a truck can turn. Mention a soft patch, a septic field or services under the track. Scaffold, a new fence or finished landscaping can close the arrival path, so name the collection spot in the same enquiry.
Write the locality as well as the street. Oakhurst here is the Fraser Coast locality, not the Gold Coast suburb of the same name. St Helens in this district is the one beside Maryborough. There is another St Helens in Queensland.
Selected at the Bundaberg yard
Maryborough orders are picked at the Bundaberg yard, the stock for this Wide Bay run, and trucked south. Pictures of that unit, with the serial number visible, go out before the truck is arranged if you ask for them. Ring the number at the top of this page. A Tinana river flat and a workshop on the edge of town are different trips, even when both enquiries name Maryborough.
A fabrication shop that has run out of floor is a different brief from a house renovation: long steel, a parts shelf, and sometimes someone working inside. Describe that load. The length follows the list, and the container can leave if the business moves.

Can the container stay in the yard while a Queenslander is restumped?
Usually, if it is clear of the stump holes and the path the trades need. Send the builder's sketch, or a photo with the spot marked, so it does not have to be shifted halfway through. Include how a truck gets back in after the scaffold or the front fence is up.
We are on the Tinana side. What should the enquiry say about the river?
Name Lamington Bridge if that is the truck's route, or name another way in if you have one. Council lists a closure from about 4.5 metres at the Portside gauge, and the deck under water from about 5.5 metres. Living in Tinana does not tell us the floor height of your block. Ask Council about the address, and send photos of the drive.
Granville can be isolated when the river rises. Does that rule a container out?
It changes when a move can happen. Council's notes say Granville can be cut off for days, with access toward Granville Bridge affected from about 5.7 metres at Portside. If the unit might need to come out before a peak, that truck has to run while the bridge is open.
Our side passage is tight. Is that the end of the delivery?
It rules out some trucks. A tilt-tray needs a straight run onto the pad. Where the passage or a fence stops the vehicle, the photos decide whether a crane lift is the way over. The street next door is a poor guide to your allotment.
Which grade keeps furniture and old timber dry through the renovation?
Cargo-worthy or new, so the shell is wind and watertight against rain. Pack the timber and furniture dry, up on pallets. Leave an as-is container for a load that can tolerate a leak. River water at the doors sits outside what these grades promise.
